Socks might seem like that last thing to add to your Summer wardrobe, but we believe that there’s nothing better than a pair of Summer socks. During a chilly morning, rainstorm, movie night, or in a frigid hotel room, there’s nothing better than slipping on a pair of cozy socks. Today we’re featuring new sock patterns (well, one pair of leg warmers) that are lightweight, short, or lacey. They keep feet warm without making them all hot and bothered, plus are super cute! And one of our favorite things about socks…their compact size makes them great travel projects. Will you join us on Team Summer Socks?!

Garden View Lace On Top by Kelene Kinnersly

An ankle-height sock that features pretty, open lace from toe to cuff. Worked toe-up and in the round, this sock flexes your Judy’s Magic Cast On and short-row heel skills. The pattern is written for four adult sizes, but if the ankle height sock isn’t for you, the designer has also released Garden Lace Full View, a calf-high sock that features the lace pattern around the entire leg of the sock.

Chute! I Knit It Again by Kate Bispala

Leg warmers may not seem like the go-to Summer footwear, but they might just be the best thing to happen to legs during warm weather months. They keep your feet and legs warm during the chilly mornings or when the AC is dialed down, while not over-heating feet. Easily slip them off when you warm up and easily slip them back on when you need an extra layer. Plus, fold them over a pair of boots for a pop of visual interest. Sized from kid to adult, these legs warmers feature an easy 12-sts repeat knit in DK weight for a quick, addictive knit.
