Save the date for the first FibreX, a wool and fiber event hosted in NSW, Australia on Saturday, June 22nd. The day-long event, held at the Ourimbah Campus of the University of Newcastle, will feature a fiber market, community crafting space, discussion panels, and workshops lead by Francoise Danoy, Rebecca Doyle, Sky Carter, and Sukrita. But these are not your typical fiber festival workshops; at FibreX expand your craft by exploring Maori traditions through stranded colorwork, weaving a wall hanging, experiencing the punch needle, making upcycled fabric rope, and learning how to use a drop spindle.
