Long Story Short

Frankie, the crafty Australian magazine, has released a new podcast called “Long Story Short, which profiles creative makers and doers in a short and sweet way. In the 10-ish minute episodes, meet the entrants of the magazine’s Good Stuff Awards in a Q+A style conversation. While the topics may not be fiber related per se, it’s easy to be inspired by passion, quirks, and successes of fellow creatives. The first episode with musician Ruby Gill is now available.

Pom Pom’s Call For Submissions

Pom Pom magazine is accepting submissions for their Spring 2020 issue, “Air.” Through August 18, 2019, submit your air-inspired pattern ideas, which can explore how air occupies the space around different shaped elements, the appearance it can take (think: fog), or the movement it inspires. This is your chance to tackle a lacey mohair project or mix yarn weights to create a transitional garment for Spring. Have an idea for a written piece or another craft that fits this theme? Pom Pom wants to know about that, too.
