But first, meet the Stay Strong Foundation that offers support to moms of hospitalized, critically ill children. Consider knitting or crocheting a hug of a shrug to donate to their cause.

And for the first time, not only one but two, alpaca farms are on the tour! Add a stop to a Simpler Time and Alpacas of San Diego to give an alpaca a hug and see the excitement of a working mill. Passports, prizes, and special events will also be part of this 3-day event.

CAST ON: “Faline” by Emily Wood

Just in time for the Fall season, this rectangular shaped stole is big on texture and warmth. Use fingering weight yarn – two skeins of a solid color and a set of mini skeins – to work the alternating sections of garter ribbing and garter stripes. The cool construction and change of colors makes this accessory fun and fast, ensuring that it is ready to wear when the first cool temps hit.
