Lost But Not Found

This past summer, knitters from Knitty City, a NYC LYS, came together in Bryant Park to knit scarves for the shop’s ‘Found But Not Lost’ initiative. The scarves, all completed with donated supplies from Knitty City, will be distributed in Bryant Park this Thursday to help warm someone’s day. The shop is seeking volunteers to help place and distribute scarves around the park this Thursday, February 21st. If interested, meet in Bryant Park at the Fountain Terrace/Lowell Fountain entrance 6th Ave at 9:30am.

Stitch Marker Swap at Stitches West

Knitters across the country will head to Stitches West this weekend to learn new techniques, shop the marketplace, and meet up with friends. While dyers are packing up their yarn, Oink Pigments reminds knitters to bring a stash of stitch markers for the weekend’s unofficial, but fan favorite, Stitch Marker Swap. While there’s nothing official written about this unofficial event, vendor booths throughout the Marketplace will have markers to swap. So fish out some stitch markers from between the couch cushions (because you know there are plenty in there) and get ready for the swap! Click below to see the #StitchMarkerSwap tag on Instagram to see who’s swaping.
