But first, Chris Evans made a sweater famous in Knives Out. Now, see the accessory that was made famous by a baby. Spoiler: it’s fit for a prince.

New-To-You Make-Along

Hosted by Cocktail Hour at the Coop, encourages makers to try something new. Try your hand at a new technique, attempt a new type of garment, or step out of your comfort zone with a new color. Whatever you choose, “try” is the key word. Finished objects are not required to win prizes (which are being provided by a slew of podcast hosts). Post your projects in the Ravelry group or on Instagram with #newtoyou2020 by February 14, 2020.

Stash Buster KAL

The Crazy Sock Lady and Twin Stitches Design are hosting a year-long, stash busting KAL. Like the name suggests, use yarn that was stashed before January 1, 2020 to complete projects. The KAL is split up into 3-month quarters, with each quarter offering a theme (Quarter 1 is socks!) and prizes. There is no obligation to stick to a theme, but doing so will result in more entries into the prize drawings.

Read more and knit more in 2020 with Tre Liz who is hosing another year of her Book-A-Long. To participate, read or listen to the chosen book of the month (there’s a list in the Ravelry group) and knit something related to the book. Monthly prizes will be given away.

CAST ON: Midnight Dancer by Sari Nordlund

ut some pep in your step with these sweet ruffle socks from designer Sari Nordlund. Knit in-the-round from the top-down, the ruffle around the top cuff of the sock adds a subtle touch of femininity (and fun!) to any outfit. Written for 3 sizes of adult feet, this pair of socks calls for 273-328 yards of fingering weight yarn.
