Meet Sun & Fog

Sun & Fog, a new collective of local yarn dyers and designers all residing somewhere between the foggy shores to the sunny valleys of Northern California, has released its first collection of knitwear patterns. Featuring eight warm weather knit and crochet projects from eight different designers – like Kira K Designs, Life is Cozy, and Karalee – all made with yarn from eight different dyers, this collection shows off the talents of the Northern California fiber community while inspiring you to cast on.

Hedgehog Fibres Welcomes Tweedy

Meet Tweedy, Hedgehog Fibers newest – and most environmentally friendly – yarn. The DK weight yarn is a fun blend of 50% Falkland Merino wool, 37.5% recycled wool, and 12.5% colorful thread waste from Hedgehog Fibres yarn production. These bright neon bits, once the ties to hold skeins together during the dying process, become fun pops of color against the sand-colored base yarn. Making this yarn even more mindful of its environmental impact, the yarn was dyed using non-toxic acid dyes and creating no dye waste. Tweedy is now available.
