Knitting’s go-to pattern source Ravelry has banned Trump rhetoric in new policy announcement made on Sunday morning. In a move to create a safe and inclusive space for users by banning “open white supremacy,” the new policy bans patterns, forums, and mentions about or in support of the Trump administration. This bold policy has garnered attention from knitters and major news media alike, including CNN, USA TODAY, and Huffington Post.

Knitty Releases First Fall ’19

Knitty, a free online magazine bringing you patterns and articles from knitters for knitters, has released their First Fall ’19 issue. Available at knitty.com, the issue features 10 free transitional patterns (think lightweight shawls and sweaters) to knit in anticipation for the first cool days of Fall. Become a SweetGeorgia Ambassador

SweetGeorgia has announced a call for members for their new Ambassador Program which will run from August 2019 – August 2020. Ideal ambassadors will have be active in social media forums, be an avid stitcher, and be open to colorful collaborations throughout the year. Those selected will receive yarn support from SweetGeorgia, early release patterns, new samples, and more. Applications are now being accepted.

CAST ON: Woody by Hi Sheep

Toy Story 4 hit theatres this past weekend and it’s safe to say we fell in love with the classic characters all over again. Have Woody fever or know someone who does?
