Get Ready For a Summer LYS KCAL

Farmers Daughter Fibers is hosting a unique KAL that begins and ends at LYS across the country. Starting on Memorial Day, knitters and crocheters who purchase Farmers Daughter Fibers yarn from participating shops will be eligible to sign up for the KAL. Then, to be entered to win giveaway prizes bring your finished object (knit with Famers Daughter Fibers, of course) back to the shop before Labor Day. Enter up to 3 finished objects and you could be the winner of your shop’s gift basket (a $75 value). Each local winner will then be entered into the grand prize drawing for a chance to win a guest spot at Famers Daughter Fibers’ 2020 Montana Mountain Retreat.

Be The First To Crawl

Save the date for September 19-22 when the First Annual Sierra Nevada Yarn Crawl takes over the craft scene around Lake Tahoe. Take in the breathtaking scenery of the area as you jump state lines, driving from California to Nevada and back again to visit the nine yarn stores on the tour. Discover new, local yarns, stock up on trusty faves, and revel in the excitement of this first-time event. More details will be coming soon, so keep an eye on @sierranevadayarncrawl as you plan your trip.

KnitSocial has announced its Fall Galiano Retreat happening November 15-17 on the coast of Vancouver. This year, retreaters will be able to take one, in-depth class from either fair isle expert Mary Jane Mucklestone or Shetland expert Gudrun Johnston. Knit either a hat or shawl with the respective designer while you enjoy a relaxing weekend in a beautiful location with knitty friends and a curated marketplace. Mark your calendars: registration opens Friday, May 24th at 7am PDT.
