Life Would Succ Without This Book

Know your way around a hook, but not around the watering can? Crochet designer Emma Varnam’s new book, Crocheted Succulents: Cacti and Succulent Projects to Make, will help you keep your house green without the need for a green thumb. Inside the book, find 25 projects to adorn your home, each with clear instructions and photos to help you create your indoor garden. Don’t know how to crochet? Pick up the author’s previous title How To Crochet to fine-tune your hook skills.

Summer Is Coming

Pom Pom Quarterly’s Issue #29 is now available for pre-order ahead of its May 28th release. Be the first to receive the summer issue, complete with nine warm weather designs inspired by ceramic tiles, terracotta, and sand. The magazine will have its usual beautiful photography and wearable patterns, but new to this issue will be more pages, increased font size, and a wider range of sizes for some patterns. For those who want to see before they buy, the Issue’s preview will be available on Ravelry on May 16th.

Swatch Local

Before you head to Stitches United in Atlanta, kick off the festival weekend with a stop at Eat Sleep Knit, a LYS in Dallas, Georiga specializing in hand-dyed and handpainted yarn. From 2-7pm, browse offerings from local vendors and participate in their in-store Swatch Bomb project. Bring in old swatches or knit one for the occasion and attach it to the black metal support beams inside the shop. RSVP on Facebook OR on Ravelry to help with a head count.
