SweetGeorgia has declared this month Socktober and is celebrating with a Sock-Along. Happening now and running through November 1st, sock knitters are encouraged to knit a pair of socks using a SweetGeorgia fiber. Any pattern will do! Just complete your pair by November 1st to qualify for prizes, including one of SweetGeorgia’s fun Party of Five Mini Skein kits. But we all know the real prize will be a finished pair of socks!

Mesmerizing Stitcher (seriously we could stare are her embroidery for hours) Jessica Marquez of Mintature Rhino is hitting the road in support of her new book Make + Mend. The book is a full-color guide to sashiko, a simple Japanese stitching technique that she uses to decorate accessories and mend clothing. Throughout October and November, she’ll be taking her book and lending her teaching talents to studios across the country. Meet up to discover, learn, or improve upon this technique that we know will have a useful place in every stitcher’s toolbox.

You don’t need to have a sister to attend Hippy String’s Knit All The Things In The Mountains Retreat like the event’s special guests do. Sister duo Grocery Girls and Cozy Up Knits sisters will be teaching and hanging out during this 3-day event in Alberta, Canada. Feel the sisterly love as you knit, learn, eat, and stare at the beautiful scenery all happening May 3-5, 2019.
