The team from Cereal Made has released the pilot episode of their new series, Swatched. The 8-minute proof-of-concept teaser profiles designer Angela Tong and gives viewers a peek into the docs-series, which aspires to challenge stereotypes surrounding the fiber arts. The series will focus on the people – designers, fashion influencers, yarn producers, and more – and their origin stories, identities, and artistic process.

Meet Sisters United

Sisters United, a new initiative from Farmers Daughter Fiber, is now live. The soon-to-be non-profit is a community-based endeavor, supported by makers to raise money through monthly collaborations for organizations that are dedicated to Native American Women. First up, the new “Sisters United Sock” pattern by Boyland Knitworks. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of this pattern will go towards Sisters United building their nonprofit status.

From designer Kate Oates, “Lovebirds Sweater” is a subtle a-line sweater that features a sweet colorwork yoke. With birds and geometric shapes this sweater is worked from the top down and is semi-customizable. Choose between two different body and sleeve styles to make it a perfect fit. “Lovebirds” has instructions for 11 sizes and is worked with 825 – 2800 yards of sport weight yarn.
